Core M3C3 was taken on June 18, 1996 in 28 meters of water. The core measured 42-43 cm in length and was x-rayed on July 2, 1996. This core was frozen during the x-radiograph and ice crystals are visible in the x-ray image. Features noted are seen in the x-ray profile above and include rocks, gas cracks, and some biological features such as an angled shell layer at ~10 cm downcore.
