Core M4C1 was taken on June 18, 1996 in 6-7 meters of water. The core measured 26.5-28 cm in length, was x-rayed on July 2, 1996 and was subsampled on August 6, 1996 at 0.5 cm intervals down the whole core. Features noted are seen in the x-ray, water content, and texture profiles above and include mottled sediment, rocks, and some biological features such as abundant shells at the top of the core.
