       (d) B1C2 selected metals data

Chart of B1C2 excess Pb-210 data for core B1C2.

(a) Cs-137, (b) excess Pb-210, (c) excess Pb-210 normalized to the surface Pb-210 concentration and linearized using the natural log, and (d) selected metals data for core B1C2. See the Methods section for more details. The Cs-137 concentration comes to a distinct peak at 20.25 cm and the Cs-137 onset is at 35.25 cm. Pb-210 concentrations exhibit a subsurface peak at 2.75 cm, perhaps due to mixing in the upper couple of centimeters, and declines with depth. The Cu and Zn concentrations peak at 32.75 cm and the Hg concentration peaks at 35.25 cm. No distinct Pb concentration peak is present with the highest concentrations at 12.75 cm and 37.75 cm, 85 and 81 ug/g respectively (next highest concentrations 73 ug/g, multiple intervals).
