       (c) D1C3 normalized and linearized excess Pb-210 data

       (d) D1C3 selected metals data

Chart of D1C3 excess Pb-210 data for core D1C3.

(a) Cs-137, (b) excess Pb-210, (c) excess Pb-210 normalized to the surface Pb-210 concentration and linearized using the natural log, and (d) selected metals data for core D1C3. See the Methods section for more details. The Cs-137 concentration peaks at 5.25 cm and the Cs-137 onset is at 10.25 cm. Pb-210 concentrations show a subsurface peak at 2.75 cm, perhaps due to mixing in the upper couple of centimeters, and declines with depth down to 12.75 cm where concentrations become fairly constant. The Cu and Zn concentrations form broad peaks from 5.25 cm to 7.75 cm. Pb concentrations peak at 5.25 cm.
