Abstract
For natural cryolite from Greenland the activity product for the reaction (in water),
Na3 Al F6 c --> 3Na+ + Al3+ + 6F-,
was found to be 10-34.3 +/- 0.1. This is in good agreement with earlier work in which equilibrium was approached from supersaturation.
