Abstract
There was one major earthquake (7.0-7.9) during this reporting period, located in the Philippine Islands on February 24. The first earthquake-related deaths fro the year were reported in South Africa, Bangladesh, and California.
In the United States, Southern California experienced a moderate earthquake on February 11.
