Abstract
At the beginning of the 1970's, a series of programs in seismology were initiated by different Costa Rican institutions, and some of these programs are still in the process of development. The institutions are
- Insituto Costaricense de Electricidad (ICE)- The Costa Rica Institute of Electricity
- La Universidad Nacional Autonoma (UNA)- The National Autonomous University and
- La Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR)- The University of Costa Rica.
