Abstract
A trace-element geochemical study of the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness Study Area included the collection of 710 heavy-mineral-concentrate samples, 767 minus-80 mesh stream-sediment samples, and 145 rock samples. All samples were analyzed for 31 elements by semiquantitative emission-spectrographic methods, and some stream-sediment and rock samples were also analyzed for selected elements by wet chemical methods.
