Abstract
In the geophysical exploration of offshore areas for economic/environmental interest, shipboard seismic profiling is often done. On such vessels, however, there is often capability for navigation using several techniques, and for measuring the strength of the earth's gravity and magnetic fields. This memo is an outgrowth of efforts to provide technical background for this type equipment.
