Scientific Investigations Report 2012–5004

Dependence of Flow and Transport through the Williamson River Delta, Upper Klamath Lake, Oregon, on Wind, River Inflow, and Lake Elevation

Appendix A. Animations of Tracer Simulations

Three animations accompany this report to illustrate the movement of the tracers for a single set of conditions: elevation of the lake at 4,141.5 ft, flow from the Williamson River at 25 m3/s, and strongnorthwest winds as measured on May 22. The purpose of the animations is to provide a visual aid to understanding the initialization of each tracer, how they move subsequently through the modeled system, and what the mass of each tracer within Tulana and Goose Bay represents. Animations are embedded in figure 5 and are also available at http://pubs.usgs.gov/sir/2012/5004/.
