Inversion Equation Set Weight Tests

These plots demonstrate that the hazard computed from a suite of inversion solutions (using the same logic-tree branch) with varying inversion equations set weights is within range of the hazard spanned by the entire UCERF3 logic tree.

The PDF's in this directory are collections of plots showing hazard curves at various CA sites. The curves are presented as Annual Frequency of Exceedance vs. Ground Motion (g). The 2% in 50 year and 10% in 50 year recurrence rates are marked for reference (grey lines).

For these tests, the UCERF3 'reference' branch was used when varying inversion equation set weights [FM3.1, ZENGBB, Shaw09Mod, DsrTap, M5Rate8.7, MMaxOff7.6, SpatSeisU3]. The reference logic tree curves were computed from the full UCERF3 logic tree (1440 branches).

Legend:

DARK BLUE: weighted mean of 1440 logic-tree branches (10 inversion solutions per branch).

LIGHT BLUE: polygon showing minimum and maximum hazard for the 1440 branches.

RED: mean (solid) and minimum and maximum (dashed) hazard for the UCERF3 'reference' branch solutions with varying equation set weights (11 solutions total).
