Bathymetry and Acoustic Backscatter: Eastern Santa Barbara Channel, California
Data Catalog
This report contains bathymetry and acoustic backscatter data collected along the outer mainland shelf in the eastern Santa Barbara Channel, California. The data were collected in the summers of 2010 and 2011 by the U.S. Geological Survey using a bathymetric sidescan system. Due to the size of the mapped area, the survey was divided into 7 blocks (Blocks A-G). See the report summary for the mapping details.
The tables below profide the bathymetry and acoustic backscatter data in a number of different formats. To download the files click on the "File Name" links. To view an overview map showing the location of each Block, click on the "Quick View" links.
This report also provides an overall 10-m resolution bathymetric Digital Terrain Model of the Santa Barbara Channel compiled from existing bathymetry data within the channel including the bathymetry data provided in this report.
These data are provided in UTM, zone 11, NAD83 coordinates, vertically referenced to NAVD88
