Slide 35 35. Medium-sized dike from the earthquake of 6,100 yr BP. Site was not modified by man before the photograph was taken. Many tens of dikes of this size were found within a radius of 50 to 75 km around the estimated epicenter of the earthquake. Water has eroded sand from the dike to about 15 cm behind the face of the bank.
