Figure 33--On row 14, the highly mafic crust on the north side of the Olympic Mts. shows up more extensively (refer back to row 34, click here). This thick, shallow region of mafic crust may control the location of such surface features as the south Whidbey Island and Devils Mt. fault zones (click here for details). The arch in the JDFP is still evident but somewhat complicated by Crescent Fm. blocks on the south side. |
