STATION TABLE PLOTS AND GRAPHS

Sample density is not uniform in the Gulf of Maine. Most of the samples are concentrated in urban, coastal locations and targeted study areas such as designated National Estuaries. There are approximately 7900 sediment samples that have contaminant data (inorganic and/or organic ) currently entered into the Gulf of Maine Contaminated Sediment Database. In addition, there are also over 7000 samples from the same general area that have texture data alone and can be found in the USGS East Coast Sediment Texture Database.
