Photo shows the NOAA vessel ALABATROSS IV at dock in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. This vessel was used by the USGS during the Continental Margin Program, a joint program between the U.S. Geological Survey and WHOI to conduct a geological reconnaissance investigation of the continental shelf and slope off the Atlantic coast of the United States, and during a mapping program in the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary.
