Abstract
Seismically speaking the months of September and October were very quiet. There were no major (magnitude 7.0-7.9) earthquakes. Guatemala was struck by a moderate earthquake on September 29 causing fatalities and considerable damage.
In the United States, a number of earthquakes occurred, but only slight damage was reported.
