Core Photographs

   Each of the 07SCC04 and 07SCC05 vibracores was cut into 40-cm sections, split lengthwise, and photographed. Detail about sediment texture, color, composition, bedding, and other physical characteristics recorded on the Core Description Sheets can also be observed on the core photographs. The photographs for each 40-cm interval were merged into a single PDF file for each core.

   Core Photographs are available for the following cruises:

Cruises 07SCC04 and 07SCC05:

Core photograph from core 07SCC_37 interval 0-40 cm.

• All core photographs are available for the 07SCC04 and 07SCC05 cores.

Cruise 87039

• No core photographs exist for the 87039 cores.

 Accessing the Data

   To access the data for each core simply click on the Study Area Map (above) and navigate to the section that contains the desired core. Right-click (to open page in a new window) on a core or core ID label to activate the Core Data Table. The table contains a column entitled Core Photographs that presents thumbnail previews of individual cores and links to the downloadable PDF files.
