Discussion

The surficial morphology and geologic framework of the shoreface and inner shelf are discussed within the context of the formation and maintenance of rippled scour depressions (sea-floor depressions floored with rippled, coarse shell hash and gravel) and the formation and maintenance of inner shelf dunes. The genesis and maintenance of these features provides insight into the nature of sediment transport in this coastal system.
