Figure 13.  Thickness and distribution of Holocene-aged sediment above the ravinement surface.  This sediment is thickest on the middle shelf off the Columbia River where it reaches 50 m.  The Holocene sediment under Clatsop Plains and Long Beach is 20-40 m in thickness while it is 5-15 m thick under Grayland Plains and North Beach.
