Intense rains of 5-21 in. caused widespread flooding in
a 10-county area bordering and west of Houston. Garwood in Colorado
County recorded 21 in. The most severely flooded areas were in Colorado
County from south of Eagle Lake to the communities of Garwood and
Lissie. |

The bridge over San Bernard River on Highway 59 was under 4 ft
of water. |
