As much as 15 in. fell in and around Guadalupe National Park Sept. 25. The rain deluged northern Mexico and filled reservoirs there to levels that mandated record releases down the Rio Conchos into the Rio Grande at Presidio, causing the worst flooding along the Rio Grande in 74 years.
