Field Notes/Logs

Field Activity Collection System (FACS) logs are standardized forms used by the USGS Coastal and Marine Geology Program (CMGP). Click on the links below to access Portable Document Format (PDF) files containing the FACS overview and crew logs. Digital FACS logs were generated post survey using handwritten logbooks and the personal accounts of survey staff. Field notebooks and digital FACS logs were completed in the field and upon return to the office by Arnell Forde and Christopher G. Smith.
