Appendix II: Movies of the Sea Floor


This page includes links to short QuickTime format movies created from the videos obtained at selected stations occupied on the R/V Oceanus (OCNS9906) and R/V Endeavor (ENDV00013) cruises. The locations of the movies are shown in Figure 7 (PDF format), and can also be viewed in the ArcView Project file. In order to view these movies, the user will need QuickTime player available at (URL: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download). Large format (640 x 480 pixels) and small format (320 x 240 pixels) QuickTime files are included on this DVD-ROM. The large format may not play smoothly on all computers. Links to both formats are included in the ArcView project file.

Superimposed on the movie image are the time, date, station identifier, depth (m) and latitude and longitude (of the surface ship).
