Table 4. Set of shallow surf zone experiments of artificial sand and oil agglomerates (aSOAs) deployed in 0.5 meters of water. Data from these experiments can be found on the Data Catalog page. Times are given in local time (eastern standard time (EST)) as measured by the clock on the Along-Track Reef Imaging System (ATRIS). The aSOAs were more mobile in 0.5-m depth than 1.5-m depth, therefore (1) their dynamics could be observed in a shorter period of time; and (2) smaller aSOAs tended to move out of the field of view. For these reasons, deployments at the this site were ~2 minutes long. |
