Our USGS collaborators Cindy Thatcher from the USGS in Reston, Va., Dustin Kimbrow from the USGS Alabama Water Science Center in Montgomery, Ala., and Dean Gesch and Jeffrey Danielson from the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, S. Dak., worked simultaneously collecting data with the mobile terrestrial lidar along select portions of the banks in the Weeks Bayou area. These data will also be used to ground truth the airborne lidar from this area.
