Data Downloads

The processed PWC and backpack GPS data points (x,y,z), DEMs, and associated formal Federal Geographic Data Committee (FDGC) metadata can be downloaded from the table below. Data points are available for the whole survey and individual regions. DEMs are available for the Fire Island shoreface and the wilderness breach. GPS data points are provided as Comma Separated Values (CSV) files and can be viewed using standard text editors. The DEMs are provided as a compressed package including a georeferenced tagged image file format (GeoTIFF) and associated world file, which can be viewed with the free ArcGIS Explorer. Compressed files (zip) can be decompressed using standard compression software. All sample locations and GIS data files presented in this report use the projected coordinate system North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83), Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Zone 18 North; all elevations are North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) derived using the GEOID12A geoid model.
