Summary of Oceanographic and Water-Quality Measurements near the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, Maryland, 2011

Appendix

Skip past contents information
This appendix provides access to (1) water sample information, (2) Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) transect data, and (3) vertical salinity data collected during this study. Water samples were collected using a van Dorn sampler, and processed for suspended-sediment concentration and loss-on-ignition following USGS methods (Fishman and Friedman, 1989). The samples were used to calibrate turbidity sensors at all sites. ADCP and salinity profiles were collected to estimate lateral variability in channel conditions.
