This section describes the sediment texture data collected for this project and how to access them.

Sediment Texture Laboratory Data
The analysis of sediment texture for 246 sediment samples collected during U.S. Geological Survey field activity 2010–005–FA is presented in a summary table in comma-separated value (CSV) format (BBVS_SedimentSamples.csv), which can be accessed with any text editor or spreadsheet program. These data are also available in appendix 1 (Geospatial Data) as an Esri shapefile. See Poppe and others (2005) for a full description of the procedures used for the analysis. Sediment sampling was conducted from September 9–14, 2010, aboard the research vessel Connecticut.
