Field Notes/Logs

Field Activity Collection System (FACS) logs are standardized forms used by the USGS Coastal and Marine Geology Program. Click on the links below to access Portable Document Format (PDF) files containing the FACS crew, equipment, operation, Global Positioning System (GPS) operation, and overview logs. Digital FACS logs were generated after the cruise from the handwritten logbooks and personal accounts of the crew members. Handwritten FACS logs were completed in the field collectively by each crew member during their watch.
