Date Time (UTC) Event
Profiling arm tripod (USGS mooring 910)
17-Sept-2011 14:05:30 Tripod on bottom, arm in up position. Deployed from the R/V Connecticut.
17-Sept-2011 13:58:00 - 16:30:00 Diving operations from the R/V Connecticut in tripod vicinity. Connected cables and collected diver push cores and water samples.
21-Sept-2011 15:25:00 - 20:25:00 Node shut down, arm in down position. Dive operations from the R/V Tioga in tripod vicinity. Sensors wiped. Sediment core and water samples collected.
27-Sept-2011 14:25:00 - 16:00:00 Node shut down, arm in up position. Dive operations from the R/V Tioga in tripod vicinity. Sensors wiped and water samples collected.
2-Oct-2011 - 4-Oct-2011   Swell from Hurricane Ophelia.
6-Oct-2011 14:43:00 - 19:52:00 Node shut down, arm in down position. Dive operations from the R/V Tioga in tripod vicinity. Sensors wiped and water samples collected. Underwater video images of tripod by Michael Casso, USGS. Min. arm angle changed from -27.5° to -25.5°.
11-Oct-2011 16:20:00 - 21:15:00 Node shut down, arm in down position. Dive operations from the R/V R&R in tripod vicinity. Sensors wiped and water samples collected. Min. arm angle reduced to -24°.
12-Oct-2011 14:15:00 - 17:30:00 Node shut down, arm in down position. Dive operations from the R/V Tioga in tripod vicinity. Serviced nearby tripod belonging to Norman Farr, WHOI.
13-Oct-2011 05:00:00 MVCO ADCP failed.
14-Oct-2011 04:00:00 Tripod began to pitch, roll, and rotate.
15-Oct-2011 04:00:00 Tripod stable again. Rotated a total of 45° during event.
20-Oct-2011 06:45:00 Pitch and roll record suggests tripod beginning to tip on the order of 20° - 30° but not capsizing.
20-Oct-2011 17:17:00 Arm detached from tripod.
21-Oct-2011 00:54:00 Tripod capsized.
23-Oct-2011 15:00:00 - 19:40:00 Divers from the R/V Connecticut in water for recovery operations and collect sediment core and water samples.
23-Oct-2011 20:10:00 Tripod off bottom. Recovered from the R/V Connecticut.

Monopod (USGS mooring 911)
