Middle Sambo, Western Sambo, and Eastern Dry Rocks: Middle Sambo, Western Sambo, and Eastern Dry Rocks are Holocene reefs located along the shelf edge between reefs at Eastern Sambo and Eastern Dry Rocks (Fig. 97C). A single outlier reef occurs along the seaward edge of the upper-slope terrace off Eastern and Western Sambos, and presumably Middle Sambo as well, but did not develop beyond a reef-flat-like structure off Eastern Dry Rocks (Fig. 89, lines 2, 1, and 15). The multiple tracts of outlier reefs developed west of Eastern Dry Rocks (Fig. 89). |
